SUCCESSES!

Note: These stories are taken from our monthly “PrayerGram.” If you would like to receive the Prayergram by email, please click here and leave us your address. All names have been changed to protect the identities of our kids and families.

George was adopted on September 1, 2011! Congratulations to his new family and a big thank you to everyone who has worked to bring this vulnerable and promising young man into a loving home.

Another of our foster kids is on his way to being adopted. As difficult as the journey is for his biological mother, we want to give kudos to Toni, adoptive foster mom. She worked closely with the boy’s mother to make the process as gentle as possible.

We are so thankful for the resources that our foster parents bring along with their love for children in need. We received a referral for a deaf child, 13-year-old Anton. Because one of our new foster parents knew sign language, we were able to make a good match for Anton.

Prayer Requests

…for everyone who has experienced property damage and loss due to heavy rains, including one of our families.

…for a foster family who was displaced because of a house fire.

…for a foster parent who was in a car accident and as a result, had to go on short-term disability as he goes through physical therapy and deals with back pain.

…for a foster parent whose maternal aunt passed away.

…for the uncle of one of our staff members — an 85 year old man who was transferred to ICU with a bleak prognosis.

…for a woman who is not recovering well after back surgery to regain her appetite so that her body can get the nourishment it needs.

…for one of our trustees who is recovering from a very painful bout of shingles.
